Description

A webinar via Zoom to raise some much needed funds for The Farriers Foundation. With each ticket you'll be able to participate live and also receive recoding that will be emailed to you to watch at any time.

Both Brad and Andrew will be giving a twenty minute presentation on a scientific study that each one has performed. They'll be explaining why they performed the study, their materials and methods used. They'll then be discussing the results they found and explain to us why their studies are relevant to farriery.

There'll then be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions on the presentations. 

Brad Greenham AWCF- A study to investigate a more accurate measurement of the parallel relationship between the distal phalanx and the dorsal hoof wall.

Brad Greenham AWCF is an accomplished farrier based in Devon, UK, with a deep passion for his craft. Having successfully completed his Associate exam in Farriery, Brad is currently dedicated to preparing towards his Fellowship exam. Alongside his professional pursuits, Brad is a devoted father of four children, balancing the demands of a thriving career with family life. His dedication to his work and family reflects his unwavering commitment to both his profession and personal life, embodying the values of hard work, skill, and a profound love for his craft and loved ones.


Andrew Bowyer AWCF Grad dip ELR- Measuring moisture content in keratinized structures of the foot in domesticated horses.

Andrew qualified in 2001 then spent 3 years travelling and shoeing over seas, before returning to his home county of Devon where he runs a mixed shoeing practice. 

 In 2006 he started working for 'British Equestrian' covering the podium potential para dressage squad and in 2016 took on the role of Team GBR farrier for dressage and jumping. Since then he has covered two world games, the Tokyo Olympics and 4 European Championships along with numerous nation cup tours. 

 Andrew enjoys every thing the farrier industry has offered over the years from forging and tool making to keeping competition and much loved horses on the road and the challenges that arise.  He has also competed in shoeing competitions over the years and runs a popular shoeing competition at Devon County Show. He is a Worshipful Company judge.

Andrew always manages to find a river to take a cool dip in at the end of a days shoeing to wind down. 

Passions outside of farriery, are mountain biking, walking in the great outdoors, spending time with his lovely family and mowing the lawn.
